Fall/Halloween/ Thanksgiving/ Harvest

The leaves are falling, pumpkins are all around, and the air smells crisp, it must be fall!

Kids love fall winter and spring, or more what the entails spring mean Easter, winter means Christmas, fall means Halloween. When creating a lesion plan by incorporating these holidays and season into it, it can make it more fun for them. We are getting into fall now, which mean there are plenty of things that you can talk about and incorporate in with your lessons. Some of the most common things teachers talk about is: pumpkins, leafs, bats, ghost, and turkeys. Among other things. If you were to talk about pumpkins you could tie that into many different subjects. You could have them draw or make pumpkins (art) and have them count pumpkin seeds (math) then talk about how pumpkins are grown (science), all you need is imagination.

Writing/spelling/Literacy

There are tons of ways that you can tie fall into Literacy. whether you read a fall book, give a crossword or a spelling test.

Math

there are plenty of things you can do for math as well.Incorporate leaves and pumpkins into word problems for math. Leaves and pumpkins and pies can also be used to teach counting, sorting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions

Art

Art, this is the most iconic way to incorporate fall, there is no limit to what you can do. be creative as you want. some of the most common art projects are drawing hand turkeys, and coloring leafs.

Science

There are plenty of thing that can be done for science.As a class, investigate why leaves change color, why they fall off trees, and why they fall from trees slowly instead of quickly. or help children discover what happens when a pumpkin rots by having them take a picture of the pumpkin daily and write down their observations in a journal.
