Being a teacher is very tough, but you don’t know just how tough until you become one. Mrs. Cunningham said" the toughest part about being a teacher isn’t the long hours, or having endless patience, its thinking about the stuff the kids have to live with at home". In her years of teaching she has had to call CPS (Child Protective Services) on a few kids. Colleen feels very strongly about the education system, there are things wrong with how it is today. She says “We have no said in what/how we teach the kids. The only thing we are teaching the kids is how to pass a test. The people who make the laws are not educators so they do not see a problem in how the things are".  She talked about many of her favorite experiences while teaching, but her best memory from teaching is when kids come back after many years and tell stories about how it was when they were in her class.
